Established in 1997 as the Club 21 Program, the reimagined Club 52 Program supports efforts that address 21st-century health concerns affecting children and their families through:
Camps for children with disabilities or affected by disease
International healthcare and educational initiatives
Club 52 funding is made possible through the generosity of Club 52 members who help provide meaningful support to vulnerable children and families around the world.
GRANT ELIGIBILITY AND PURPOSE
Club 52 Program grants are awarded to external organizations (non-Altrusa entities) that provide services in line with the program’s mission.
Altrusa Clubs, ASTRA Clubs, Local Club Foundations, and Altrusa Districts are not eligible for Club 52 funding.
FUNDING CYCLES AND DEADLINES
There are two funding cycles each fiscal year (June 1-May 31):
Cycle One – September 15 Deadline
Funding focus is international healthcare and education initiatives
Cycle Two – March 15 Deadline
Funding focus is camps for children with disabilities or affected by disease
Grants are typically awarded up to $2,500; however, larger amounts may be considered based on demonstrated need, availability of funds, and the quality of the application.
The Altrusa International Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to determine the number and amount of grants awarded based on available funding and application quality.
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Grant recipients are required to use awarded funds for their intended purpose and must submit two status reports:
Progress Report
Due 6 months after receipt of funds
A 1-page maximum narrative describing project progress, outcomes, and any challenges or changes to the original plan
Follow-up Report
Due within 12 months of receiving funds
Complete the official Grant Follow-up Form (provided with the award letter and available online)
Both reports must include:
Photos of the project (with signed photo release forms available on our website)
Testimonials or impact statements from project participants
PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGEMENT REQUIREMENT
As part of our effort to increase public awareness and demonstrate the impact of our grantmaking, recipients are required to acknowledge the Foundation’s support in all public communications, including social media, websites, press releases, and interviews.
Please use the following statement:
This [project/program] [is/was] awarded grant funding by the Altrusa International Foundation, Inc. For more information, please visit foundation.altrusa.org.

To apply for a Club 52 grant:

Prepare a complete application, including:
Signed cover page
Narrative responses
Detailed budget form
Submit the completed application as a Word or PDF file to: foundation@altrusa.org
You will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission. Please do not mail hard copies of your application.
