Donor Recognition Programs

Designed to be the legacy for the future, Lamplighters are Altrusans or Altrusa Clubs who’ve contributed $500 USD or more to the Foundation in a twelve month period. Individuals are recognized with a gold Lamplighter pin. For each subsequent $500 gift made a member receives a diamond inserted into the Lamplighter pin. The pin holds a total of twenty-five diamonds.

The Lucente Lamplighter is named after Josie Lucente, who served 20 years as the Altrusa International Foundation’s Executive Director. An individual who is honored, or makes, a total of ten $500 USD contributions receives the unique Lucente pin.

Members may contact foundation@altrusa.org for information on updating their Lucente pin with a polished finish for a nominal fee.

The Hofmeister Lamplighter is named after Martha Hardwick Hofmeister for her longstanding service as Legal Advisor to the Altrusa International Foundation, Inc. An individual who is honored, or makes, a total of twenty-five $500 USD contributions receives the unique Hofmeister pendant.
